According to DigiTimes, Apple’s iPhone 13 is supposed to come with a 120hz ProMotion display which would be manufactured by Samsung Display and LG display. Both of the companies have reportedly started manufacturing of the display for the upcoming iPhone model.
Expected to be released later this year the supply chain for iPhone 13 is turning up the heat in order to meet the high demand.
Sources claim that Samsung Display began the production of the LTPO display in mid May which would be used in the pro models for the 120hz display while LG Display will manufacture the LTPS display which would give the non pro models a 60hz display. Samsung will also be manufacturing some LTPS displays for the low end models.
In terms of shipment numbers Samsung is supposed to be producing 120-130 million units while LG makes around 80 million units.
On May 26th supply chain reports claimed TSMC had begun manufacturing of the new SoC which would be called the A15 and would be used in all the iPhone 13 models.
