It’s been almost a decade since the launch of GTA V and the next version (GTA VI) of the long-running video game series might still be in early production. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier recently corroborated Tom Henderson who has multiple accurate Battlefield and Call of Duty leaks, Tom posted a YouTube video detailing various rumors and predictions for Rockstar’s highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6.
He claims that GTA VI will be set up on a larger map which will include a modern iteration of Vice City in some capacity. He also claims that this map will keep evolving similar to games such as Fortnite. The game is expected to carry on with multiple playable characters like GTA V and is also rumoured that the top-selling video game series will first time have a female protagonist, she is rumoured to be taking the role of a hacker.
With all of these rumors, Henderson in his video also predicted that the game most likely would be coming in 2024 or 2025. While these were just called predictions by Tom Henderson, Jason Schreier replied to a tweet corroborating the information by Henderson. Schreier tweeted “Idk why everyone thinks that is said GTA VI was coming in 2023. Everything Tom Henderson has said about the game matches up with what I’ve heard”
Schreier had previously estimated a 2023 release window but pointed out that they were his own predictions, and were made “before we entered a pandemic that still hasn’t stopped.”
Schreier and Henderson both have been pretty accurate in the past making the information a lot more believable but it is worth taking these with a pinch of salt until an official announcement from Rockstar Games.
