OnePlus is bringing its first ever Android tablet, registers OnePlus Pad in Europe.

OnePlus has been expanding its horizons recently going from an enthusiast smartphone manufacturer to now making smartphones, smart watches, headphones, smart TVs, and more. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer recently filled a listing with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). There hasn’t been a official word on this but it surely suggests that the company might be making its own Android tablet.

The tablet market currently is dominated by Apple’s iPad with a very little competition from Samsung in quality and Lenovo in numbers, but this new device from OnePlus might change everything. The company has been a fan favourite and has been delivering great products in great numbers.

The OnePlus Pad is expected to run on Android with OxygenOS/ColorOS. The OnePlus Pad documents were filed on July 1, 2021 and still shows the status as “Application under examination ”.

While other BBK Electronics brands like RealMe and Vivo are also working on bringing their own tablet computers the hype around OnePlus Pad seems to be the highest.

No more details of the device are available as of now but OnePlus’ attempt at the tablet market is expected due to its strong hold in some smartphone segments and the growing demand of the Tablet form factor due to the pandemic and work from home.
